interesting - opposite here they deliberately dont report crime to keep crime stats down.
i wonder why a cop would not arrest a gang banger?? maybe to avoid the department getting sued?

Narco cops have always been a weird bunch. Setting arrest quotas is police management insanity. Let the beat cops and the detectives do their jobs instead of having to meet some "manager's" self set fantasy would result in better policing and fewer managers.

The whole war on drugs has just been a scam from the start. Fabricating charges is just more incremental step down the same road.

I am sure that someone will be along soon to tell us that this is just one of the very few bad apples, not a sign that LEO is infected with systemic corruption and coverups.

narcotics cops are typically of worse moral fiber than those they arrest in their phony drug war.

Default NYPD admits to planting drugs on innocent people.

This is one of the many reasons not to blindly trust police officers. There should never be quotas on arrests. It just provides an incentive to do the wrong thing.

for a cop not to lose his job or the city to not get sued there must be compelling evidence, dope a gun a knife. if the criminal ditches the evidence it turns into a law suit.
the pressure is high to fudge on the evidence when it ends up missing.
i didnt say it was right but there is a lot of pressure. lawyers made this all happen.
remember for a not guilty or false arrest to happen all you gota do is not have sufficient evidence. does not mean he didnt do it.
