Let there be no mistake, Obama is far better than McCain or Romney would have been. In the postmortems of the Romney campaign that they drank their own Kool-Aid, “unskewing” the polls and thus failing to want to embrace the reality that they were going to lose, which then caught them by surprise.
Campaigns are one thing but can you imagine governing like that? Only believing information that confirms your desired view and dismissing information contrary to what you already believe? We had that with Bush and Iraq and we know where it leads.
I think they did -- Obama lost 10 million votes that he had in 2008 in the 2012 election.
Considering he picked up a few million votes from those who are demanding an amnesty and were likely not here to vote in 2008, you can bet it was more like 13 or 14 million Americans who sat this election out who voted for him in 2008.

I heard, that 8 million repubilicans did not vote.....
I voted for Obama in '08 as an Obama supporter. I voted for Obama again in '12 as the ever so slightly lesser of two evils according to my perception. My vote for Obama was more of an anti Romney vote than a pro Obama vote.

What, exactly, would McCain and Palin have done that would have been so awful?
More employment and less deficits?
Yeah because clearly the republican before them left a surplus of cash, and a steller unemployment rate and all :-P.
