...But back to Al Sharpton and his demands.

I'm still waiting patiently for someone to take him to task over the incident that propelled him to fame in the first place. I speak, of course, of the Tawana Brawley case, where Ms. Brawley claimed to have been raped by [involuntary shudder] a white man. Sharpton seized onto this like there was no tomorrow...but for some peculiar reason, was nowhere to be found when Brawley subsequently admitted that she made the whole thing up.

You'd have thought that Sharpton's credibility might have been obliterated. But it seems that if you do enough thinking, all you get is a headache.

I am certainly no Sharpton fan, but he is correct on this. The people are rising up in the US and many other Countries, for the same basic reason, economic inequity. It is very real and extremely detrimental to the well being of the Nation. The politicians need to listen, if they care about their jobs. We know, that is pretty much all they care about in this Country. Here, I don't believe it will turn to a lot of violence, but it will turn into a lot of vote action. Other Countries, may be more prone to the violent reaction, ie. Italy.
