I have never smoked pot or anything else but this is beyond crazy now. I just can't imagine that people are actually being arrested & sent to jail for smoking weed! Legalize it and tax it just like ciggarettes & booze!

Yeah, I know...but the petition has almost 60,000 signatures, far past the 5000 threshold. It will at least force the WH to issue a response.. it will be interesting to see what excuse President Drug Warrior has now....
Always been in favor of it being legalized. Natural happy drug that doesnt send you to the hospital if you take too much or drink a beer with it. And the econmy would get a HUGE boost if weed becomes privatized. That I can garantee. All this stuff to keep it illegal is to keep man made depressants the only option and have investors, ceo's, and poltiticans pockets full(thats why they are pushing for medicare for everyone, more products to bloat prices and a lot more money for them). Weed would put a huge dent in that and thats why it will never be legalized.
For all the nay sayers, everthing that has a good effect has a bad effect. Get off your damn pedastal. Food makes you gain weight, get high cholestral, etc but no one makes it illegal. (Just a comparison to food, not that I want to make food illegal .) Weed is not a gateway drug either, know many folks (some are successful small business owners) who smoke it and have never even thought about doing man made drugs such as coke or meth. B.S. lies to keep people "thinking" its all bad when it aint.
I am so SICK of the marijuana battle. I really just want everyone with a yard to start to grow a couple plants just to end the maddness.
Right. I mean, they can't arrest everybody, can they???? I wish it were that easy. But talk about a true "grass roots" movement. No pun intended.... well maybe a little bit.
