And he's right. No way can Cain win the general, so the party is never going to let it happen. If he doesn't self destruct on his own soon, I'm sure some party insiders will quietly make sure it happens.
I think it would be great to see two black men running for President, I think if the GOP, in its desperation, realizes it cannot beat Obama it might make Cain its sacrificial lamb and try and win minority voters with the mirage it is an inclusive party, which it is going to have to be in the future as minorities become more of the voting population.
A dumb bet by Maher as I see it. Never underestimate the cynicism of these people, they picked Sarah Palin to run with the old white guy, they just might select Cain (and get someone like Hank Williams Jr. as V.P. to appeal to the base)
