It is obvious that Obama wishes to side with the half of America that only takes ... the half of America that doesn't contribute anything.

The Democratic Party has ( including the failed President ) sided with the Socialists and Communists in New York and across the World. You decide which way to vote.

People who are sad, because they haven't worked hard enough to find a job - especially when they have loans to pay, are wussys.

Yeah, you tell 'em tough guy. They need to go out and work at McDonalds for the next two decades just to approach even being able to pay off the interest on those loans. . . .those wussys!! They are just not working "hard enough" and want other people to pay for the things they have. Losers. Since they can't find jobs that would realistically enable them to pay off those loans, and interest, we should just round them all up and send them to work camps so they start working hard enough and garnish the money they make to pay off their loans, and while we are at it - send a bill to every single person that ever attended a public elementary or high school since they didn't have to pay for their K-12 education either and they got it for free, because they are wussys, and then after that - and here is where things get really good. . . . . .

Take every single college graduate that did in fact "pay" for their college education (although in some cases mommy and daddy paid for it) and send them a bill for the difference between what they "paid" for their college degree and the percentage of federal and state tax money that went to that college to keep it open. Tuition at most state (and yeah, thats public folks) colleges only covers about 54% of the actual costs of a student attending. So even in a best case scenario where someone "paid" for their entire four years at college - they were actually only covering about half of the cost.

(And in cases where someone got financial aid and/or pell grants which do not have to be paid back. . . . go ahead and send them a bill to. It shouldn't be just the people that took loans out that have to pay back the money for their education.)

So, yeah time to all pay up and get the accounts cleared and make sure everyone is paying for everything.

Lets go. . . .

Yup,people who take loans have responsibility to pay it back. Can you imagine that? A real life responsibility? These losers yelp about rights, day and night, but never utter the words responsibility. (except if it is someone else who is responsible to give them stuff) These jokers should be protesting the colleges and their outrageous tuition an the outrageous salaries of college professors and Presidents.

If a teller at Bank Of America borrows $250,000 to buy a house, that teller has to pay it back.

Get it?

Recent graduates that "can't" find jobs are not trying hard enough. The unemployment rate for college grads is around 5%.

Get Obama out of the picture, and the unemployment rate will plummet.

Except that if they are allowed to declare bankruptcy guess who's on the hook? That's right, the taxpayer. That's the difference between student loans and other debt obligations. A person who is over his head in credit card and other debt can be relieved of his obligation to repay because it is the lender who takes the hit. But student loans, by contrast, are government-backed. So if the loans are not repaid, it is not the banks who are left holding the bag, it is the taxpayer.

Well, I don't know how hard these people are trying to find a job. But I suspect that if you asked everyone of these college and college-educated protestors what they majored in you would get a real sense of why they can't find work. Who wants to hire someone who majored in Balck Studies, or Latino Studies, or Women's Studies, or Transgender Studies or any number of other "studies" that colleges and universities peddle as education? You know, real life can be unforgiving and if someone pisses away $70,000 or more and four or five years of their life on a worthless degree, well that's rough. But who should bear that burden of those poor decisions? As a taxpayer I'm not volunteering for that.

Not true. Taxpayers are NOT on the hook for student loans if they declare bankruptcy. Student loans are not dischargable in bk proceedures.

Thats the difference and the reason why government SHOULDNT HAVE ANYTHING to do with student loans, but waa waa liberals want government to get involved with everything, and then whine about the results..

Yes, the cowards who can't find work due to outsourcing and company cutbacks should pull up his bootstraps, move back home to mommy and flip burgers while he goes back to school at 30.

Total fairness there, companies do what they want when they want and you the lonely human just shut up and take it.
