Passenger: 'You're all going to die' | Amarillo Globe-News
Quote:
Somewhere in the heavens above Amarillo, angry shouts rang out from the back of Southwest Airlines Flight 3683.

“You’re all going to die,” a man dressed in black screamed at passengers Tuesday afternoon. “You’re all going to hell. Allahu Akbar,” translated as God is great in Arabic.

Federal authorities arrested Ali Reza Shahsavari, 29, of Indialantic, Fla., onboard the Boeing 737 after pilots made an emergency landing at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport at 3:30 p.m. He is being held in the Randall County jail on a federal charge of interfering with a flight crew.

Maybe he just wanted to get off at Amerillo although I cannot imagine why.

I'll bet that was a fun descent and landing.

Default Muslim shouts "You're all going to die, Allahu akbar" on Southwest flight, plane makes emergency landing

Southwest Airlines should sue him for the cost of the fuel used to make the emergency landing.

FBI Special Agent Mark White, based in Dallas, said the event did not appear to be an act of terrorism. He described Shahsavari as a U.S. citizen who might have experienced an episode of mental illness.
When are they going to stop making PC excuses for these people? Even if he wasn't a terrorist then he was a self-centered petulant individual who felt like throwing a temper tantrum and probably scaring the hell out of a couple hundred passengers. How many people missed connecting flights because of this guy? Let's hope he gets a long prison sentence. I wouldn't bet on it though.

Is that how they are describing Islam, as a mental illness?

Well.... He was mostly right on two of three things he said. We are all eventually going to die at some point, and yes, most of humanity is going to hell. But the allahu akbar part could be wrong.
