Are you one of the people brainwashed into believing that unless we pay tens of thousands of federal bureaucrats top notch salary and benefits during a massive, crippling recession then THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL FALL APART?!?!

The truth is that clear-headed Americans like Ron Paul and Grover Norquist know that America was never intended to be your mommy and daddy.

Tea Party Debt Commission | Government Cuts | The Daily Caller

Quote:
In preparation for their final report, the Commission did a crowdsource survey to learn the top 10 favored budget-cutting ideas from activists across the country. Organizers from the project released the survey results Wednesday:

1. Repeal Obamacare
2. Reduce duplicative purchases of Pentagon supplies
3. Eliminate the Department of Education
4. Privatize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
5. Reduce discretionary spending to 2008 level
6. Block grant Medicaid
7. End ethanol tax credits
8. Sell needless federal buildings
9. Eliminate the Department of Housing and Urban Development
10. Reduce Medicare teaching subsidies
We can cut and cut and cut and there would be NO LONG TERM NEGATIVE EFFECTS!

Any necessary government functions would be voted on by citizens of each state for the state government to tackle.

Then you can have a local say on how your money is spent.

I have an idea. how about we just scrap the Constitution altogether and go back to the Articles of Confederation? Maybe then these guys will finally be satisfied and shut up.

Yeah, I guess we need things like child labor and sweatshops like the Triangle Shirt Factory, where those women were locked in and all burned up, in order to fit in with your manifesto.
Make sure you're the first one to put your kids to work.

Where do you see in the constitution the creation of the DoEnergy, Education, EPA?

See, that's what you don't get - the federal government has grown so far beyond it's original intent and purpose...but you'll never get that...because you believe that government is the solution to everything.

Can someone tell me why we need a Dept of Education? Don't you think that STATES are the best to handle local and state issues?

Then get a lawyer and have government programs declared unconstitutional.

don't come griping to us if you don't know the part of the constitution that allows for this.
