The US..be our friend or we'll kill you. Some country we have.
This is dangerous ground we are on. It's one thing to go to war with a country out of a concern for the threat is posses to our national security, but we went to war with Libya just because other people wanted us to. And now Biden says its cheap and no one died, so he thinks we need to do more wars like this?

And they said the Repubs were war mongers. The current Dems in office bring a new meaning to "war monger". They have an insatiable appetite and not in a good way. And to think, it didn't even need an act of Congress to do it.

if the libyans wanted him gone, they should have handled it because it is THEIR COUNTRY.

The Libyan operation did NOT advance a vital national security interest, a point that former secretary of defense Robert Gates stressed at the time. Qaddafi could have been brought down by the Libyan people, but the Obama administration’s decision to overthrow him may now implicate the United States in the behavior of the post-Qaddafi regime. That is unfair to the American people AS USUAL.

You know i agree with you, and some friends who are here right now reading this with me.

We seem to get involved in everybody's backyard, but the one we should be in, right here at home. There is plenty that needs fiixing here, lets fix the damb things. And our open borders, you can do it Obama if you choose too, and really care about our well being. But we know, right here at home is a different story for you.

Once again, it's good to see what a responsible, thinking and effective President can accomplish.

I can't figure out why we went to war.. Quaddafi, what did he do exactly?

One moment he is meeting up with heads of state all over Europe, Obama, etc etc and next thing NATO is sending in air strikes to 'promote democracy?'

Libyans have a high standard of living on the continent and free health care, education, etc... Kind of makes me wonder how much support this rebel group actually has.

For starters...
He financed the bombing of flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. 270 killed, many of them Americans.

He armed and financially supported almost all of the terrorist groups that first formed in the late 70's-early 80's. His finances funded the attacks on the cruise ship, several airplane hijackings, and attempted/sucessful bomb attacks on other mid-east leaders who opposed him.

More recently, he turned his support to Africa, where he armed the child soldiers of Liberia and other countries.

He supplied Saddam with poison gas that was used on Iraqi citizens.

He was the first Arab ruler to create a nuclear program intended to make nuclear weapons. The labs were taken apart after Reagan's strike on his compound, but were never destroyed until 2003 or thereabouts.

He killed 1,200 prisoners and leveled the prison after they protested their lack of appeal.

He held show trials after a failed coup attempt, and publicly hanged them in a sports stadium, including some of their wives and children.

I could go on... want any more? Were you living during the 20th Century? All of this was on the nightly news when it happened.
