It's called an analogy. It is not a comparison of the two men. I have read your posts. You are intelligent enought to know that. Stop trying to spin my post.
Those rose colored lens could not be any more dark.
Iraq was already a Bush victory when Obama was sworn in, our military presence there has been running on autopilot since. Obama failed to renew the SOFA agreement with the Iraq gov't and is now forced to pull our military out of Iraq before 2012.
Afghanistan was winnable when Obama took office, but Obama dithered for months, and eventually sent fewer troops then the bare minimum amount that his generals said were needed to win there. Now the Taliban sees a chance for victory, are recruiting, and increasing their numbers and expanding their forces. Pakistan sees the tide turning also, and is aligning themselves with the Taliban, since it looks like they may be ruling in Afghanistan in the future.
Obama did start a new war in Libya. He did so without consulting the people or congress, and he had no plan or objective, other then hoping that the change in leadership will work out for the best.
What exactly is Obama's foreign policy strategy? Are we going to foment insurrection in every country with a tyrant for a leader? Or is Obama only interested in wars where we can fight over blood for oil, like in Libya?
You're wrong about everything.
Thank God the SOFA agreement was unworkable. Good. That's EXACTLY what we needed to use as an excuse to get the hell out of there. If you want to stay, book a ticket to Baghdad and go yourself. The rest of us 'thinking Americans' want to get out of there.
Afghanistan was never winnable. I won't even argue this point because that's akin to arguing with a vegetable. Besides, who cares if the Taliban retakes power over there? It's their country. What Afghans do in their own country is their business.
Obama didn't start a new war in Libya. Moreover, the bitterness over his successful strategy is making you guys loopy and apoplectic at the same time. It's a wierd combination. I've never seen anything like it. You conservatives are all over the place.
LMAO...I mean really..."foment insurrection?" Really? You're gonna go there?
Absolutely, he rocks. You should post this on every liberal board you can find. Over and over again. Don't stop until the election.
You're dreaming if you think these "accomplishments" will make a lick of difference come Nov 2012. If the economy continues in the crapper for another twelve months that's the only issue that will matter.
He just happened to be in the White house when all of the events finally came to a head. Many years of work before he even appeared on the scene is not to his credit. He is there to reap the credit for the work of others.

Well at least you acknowledge the accomplishments.
