The Organizers vs. the Organized in Zuccotti Park -- Daily Intel

Quote:
In wind-whipped Zuccotti Park, new divisions and hierarchies are threatening to upend Occupy Wall Street and its leaderless collective.

All belongings and money in the park are supposed to be held in common, but property rights reared their capitalistic head when facilitators went to clean up the park, which was looking more like a shantytown than usual after several days of wind and rain.

“They are becoming the government we’re trying to protest," he said.
I imagine those trying to "organize" are the professionals...like the unions and other far Left groups.

Once the rain, cold and snow come, the poor residents will get the relief they so desperately seek.

Gotta give this a read, it's really quite hilarious.

I love it!!! They let the dirty, crusty ragtags (who were probably homeless to begin with) in for the sake of numbers, and now they won't be able to get rid of them until the cold sets in. That should leave about errrrr, 25 people in the park (if that)???

Probably not even that, but I imagine they'll try to resurrect the "energy" in the spring.

Do you really see it lasting until Spring??? With no leaders, no organization, no agenda, no people with any credibility, it's a recipe for failure.

The people BEHIND the bowel movement - the anarchists, socialists, communists organizations, including the "professional" agitators, like Lisa Fithian, will certainly try and "reignite" the enthusiasm.

Oh I'm sure she will stage some of their followers to "get arrested" and make a big show of it and hopefully get maced or roughed up along the way to try and stoke the fire. Only fire the savages will be wanting soon is one to keep em warm. Back to mommy and daddy's basement soon.

That Fithian should be in jail.

Collective ownership is the main ingredient in that recipe for failure.

Once I see a drum circle I can't take protestors seriously. And believe me, I LOVE drum circles. This just isn't the late 60's and 70's anymore, these young bucks need to get a grip (and I'm only 25). Living in a park just isn't going to cut it in my opinion. Not saying that there should be any violence or physicality of any sorts but there needs to be a more aggressive, progressive form of protest. Gathering a bunch of knuckle heads to scream out stupid stuff and then having people to join because they think is cool is not going to cut it.

It appears the loons in Oakland are starting to break down too.

"As dawn came Wednesday, the protest's 10th day, an almost overwhelming sense of urgency was developing around the need to resolve internal security issues that have bedeviled residents and passers-by alike. The tent city that has sprung up on the steps of Oakland City Hall has attracted a diverse range of people, many with competing ideologies and world views. Homeless people, ex-convicts, at least one registered sex offender, students, unemployed hotel workers, anarchists and reform-minded activists freely mingle together in what amounts to a democracy free-for-all."
