That's one of the failsafe of the citizens parents requirements. Even if your parents are foreign nationals, when they become citizens they must renounce all foreign allegiance under oath. So an NBC is always free from allegiance issues.

So... you are finally conceding that dual citizenship at birth does not render an individual non-NBC?

Did a woman who became a citizen automatically via marriage have to take an oath?

There is no dual-citizenship at birth here in the eyes of the Constitution. You're the only one establishing this.

"I do"?

If Congress gave that power of naturalization, then it is LAW.

yep. something i've pointed to repeatedly is that there has yet to be a birther ask/demand a definition on the vague 14year residency requirement ( consecutive or collective? previous 14 or ? ).

If it's not stipulated, then there's no stipulation.

But, bright line would be that a total of 13 years and 11 months would fail the requirement.

Yeah, hey, I know it's only one month, but, a rule is a rule.

All you have is speculation. You have NO idea who took that Census info.

Answer the question: why would anyone register for the draft if they didn't have to?

A similar situation would occur like this:

Say a 17 yr old girl and a 17 yr old guy get married. Both individuals became U.S. citizens via their parents. Current Naturalization law does not require either person (17 yr girl and boy) to take an oath. By the Naturalization Laws, they've renounced all allegiance at the moment their parents became U.S. citizens. The two have a kid. This kid would be a NBC.

By the same token, if Naturalization laws automatically made your spouse a U.S. citizen when she got married, the she automatically renounced foreing allegiance via her husband.

Clear as day.
