How do you know what you are? Is there a test or website (try looking it up in google...just try. You get all sorts of weird things. LOL)

Serious question. I thought I was liberal but someone told me I am conservative. I have no clue which wing I am, are they the same thing? If so why do they say the liberal left (or right).

I read things where people say "you Liberals are all alike"...is it a bad thing?

I seem to like different ideas from different people, but I just wish they would give more details sometimes.

So how do you tell if you are Liberal or Conservative, Right or Left?

(Please without flaming me too hard)

Wow...I don't think I am stupid, but some of these I have no clue what they mean.

Protectionism is sometimes necessary in trade
The freer the market, the freer the people

Maybe I am not supposed to post them. Sorry if that is bad.

I am a little bit to the right, but at 0 between the other two. Does not say if I am liberal or conservative, says liberal or authoritative.

Economic Left/Right: 2.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.00

I found another test, it says I am conservative on a couple of things, but most came out to be 50/50%.

Thank you.

Internet tests are too restrictive and don't really tell you much. How about you describe your positions on whatever issues you feel are important.

That means you are a fiscal conservative (slightly) and a moderate on social issues (gay marriage, abortion, etc).

Economic Left/Right: -2.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.13

That is what I got. I believe in Racial Socialism so this test doesn't help a lot.

I call myself centre left or liberal, just so other people understand where I'm at on this forum, but in truth, my views are way more nuanced. I actually have a lot of pretty conservative views.

Of course, what's funny is that in real life people assume I'm right wing because I'm an evangelical Christian who lives within his means. If they only knew! Ha!

I'm a Libertarian, social liberal, fiscal conservative, non-religious. The political system pretty much totally ignores us, and the media tries to pretend we are small in number, and far too "crazy" to be listened to.

I would like to remind everyone that when I was young, Ross Perot ran for President and warned us of the catastrophic consequences of pursuing "Free Trade." He was 100% correct and we basically allowed our nation to be destroyed by not electing him.

Had everyone who wanted to vote for Ross Perot done so, he would have been elected. Many of us fell for the line that the Democrats would win if we "diluted" the Republican vote. We were too young at the time to realize the Republicans and the Democrats are EXACTLY the same.

Now we have Ron Paul offering to stop the idiotic militaristic war-mongering that has bankrupt us, and to free us from the crushing oppression of Big Government serving Big Business.

Either take the life preserver, or take a big gulp of sea water and don't forget to hold your kids under at the same time. It may be too late, but we KNOW there's no hope supporting the corrupt Big Government traitors who have reduced from world domination to poverty in less than a single lifetime.

I've taken the dumb tests, but everyone should at least know what they are, even if they are moderate or swaying between beliefs. I know how I feel about all of the key issues.
