Even in Zuccotti Park, greed is good.

One of the 99% percent has gone so far as to say ““The other day, I took in $2,000. I kept $650 for my group, and gave the rest to Finance. Then I went to them with a request — so many people need things, and they should not be going without basic comfort items — and I was told to fill out paperwork.

Does this mean there is a sub-committee in the OWS that is functioning as a unit that takes deposits of cash and disperses it as needed to advance their cause?
Don't most of us call the actions of this unit [can I say it] a BANK? or at a minimum, the finance office?
I know they have self appointed leaders and spokespeople. What's next? Elections of leaders? A Department of Tents?

Are you so naive to think that they won't be audited?

This thread is completely disingenuous.

Obviously the organizers are going to stash some money away for themselves. Don't forget they prefer cash. :-)

They have more to worry about than filling out a form. They better start to worry about where it is going to go. Check out the organization that is now overseeing the funds. I had started a thread sometime ago opsting an email exchange from the head organizer, a Palestinian, which talked about the cause of Palestine and Zionists.
