Seriously, what has the guy done that's good for this country? I can see why the sick, lame, and lazy want him, he throws $$$ around like a pimp. Is that why cd posters here like him, or are you hoping for an Obama win just to stick it in the Right's face, regardless of how inept he is?
I had high hopes for the guy, but he's a weak indecisive leader and his wife has that typical bad attitude you see in certain parts of the city.
The man has done zero, time to move on.
I'll root for Cain maybe.

You had me until you said you would root for Cain. Unfortunately, you are just as bad as the Obama supporters.

Yeah well, to the contrary, I've never had high hopes for the mass of citizens who whinge about a particular elected official while displaying little in the way of critical thinking and constructive criticism. Just more noise in the echo chamber....and we don't really need any more of that.
As for Obama, no, I'm not really impressed with him either. But then again I probably wouldn't be impressed if we were to clone Thomas Jefferson and somehow install his likeness as president. I wouldn't be impressed with the next 1000 candidates who swear to do better. It's a matter of which candidate is going to do the least amount of harm. Most of the damage that has been done to the American economy has been done by the private sector with the public sector watching it all unfold under their eyes. The private sector will have to be the side of the economy that rights itself, but it will be up to the public institutions to see that they do what is needed, and it will be up to the public officials we put in place to make sure that this happens.
Together, the neoconservative and tea party movements have been among the most disastrous and ill-timed of any I can recall. I would not say that Obama has been the God send that he promised to be, but he has at least stabilized what was a really shaky economic situation. He has at least allowed policymakers to support the financial system, and given us time to discuss our options on how to proceed. And if I thought that the tea party were a movement that was genuinely interested in contributing their own intellectual prowess to this discussion, I might be inclined to go along with at least some of what they have to say and suggest. But they're a lot like the first post. Nothing more than a noise chamber. Not now, not at this time.
Tea party, birthers, die-hard neo-cons should all just kindly f*ck off.
Yup. Not impressed with Obama, but the GOP field scares the hell out of me.
Ditto.
Field some candidates that heads are rooted in rational thinking and I'll look at them, but what's running around on the field right now are a whole bunch of wacko's with a capital "W"....
Honestly everyone of them are so full of horse droppings that whenever they speak, I can't help but fear the fools that will vote for them especially when what they are saying is so full of lies. Put a republican in the race who will speak the truth and my vote may be marked for them. (I know in todays race Im really dreaming)
I saw that segment this morning. Unfortunately, Scarborough--a member of the class of '94--is often excoriated for being a RINO because he dares to criticize the far right sections of the party. But it's the truth. He's a rational Republican who I actually enjoy listening to. And because he's rational, I actually listen to what he says and understand where he's coming from. I don't always agree, but I like hearing him on Morning Joe.
