Occupy Oakland announced that, to protest the police action of Tuesday, and the injury to the injured Marine Iraq vet, Scott Olsen, they are calling for a one-day general strike against the city, to be scheduled sometime next week.

Good! Classic non-violent response to violent provocation, in the tradition of Dr King. Hope it's a big success

I'm so glad I live near S.F and Oakland - all the idiots can go up there and engage in their pointless protests.

It is a lot easier to tell people they should strike if you don't have a job at risk.

Lets be clear, the police action was not a violent act againt non-violent protestors.

the action by the police was in response to violence from the occupy idiots.
