seriously. impossibility of the math is the key here.

bank of america has something like 71 trillion dollars in derivatives contracts, and 2 trillion in assets, and throughout American history our government has only managed to accumulate $14 trillion dollars in government deficits. the US military spends less than 1 trillion/year.

and supposedly the argument is that the government is too big? I mean are we STUPID? Can we count? Banks are the ones creating all the debt here.

This video is a great example of what happens when popular myths meet a cold dose of logic explained bravely.

That is why the people eventually find themselves without much to say.

Unfortunately, occupy was co-opted from the beginning. Not that I think it was much of a solution to anything. Do you know the Schiff family background?

Several things not being covered here. Both of these individuals deal with this subject on a topical level. Private vs Public. Go look at CAFRs and other reports. Govt already owns massive shares in these corps. Most, if not all publicly traded corps are majority shares in govt investments.

Nationalizing really wouldn't help transparency much or personal accountability. Either way they are taking people's value, controlling, monetizing it, leveraging it and pocketing the returns. Slightly different flavor of debt slavery. Doesn't amt to much of a change imo.

Its not even a contest.Actaully one only has to look at wealth shift since wealth sharing started in the mid 60's; its been a race to the bottom of dependency for many. Getting out of that hole is very difficult once your at the bottom especially in a world economy which is more competitive than ever.

The guy is defending capitalism, great, I don't think many of the protesters have a problem with pure capitalism, as opposed to the government-sponsored Sino-capitalism we have in the USA.

And don't go to the sheeple for an intelligent debate, that's like trying to understand conservativism by reading the garbage on this forum.

Them? They? Who exactly is them and they? Perhaps people who aren't quite as savvy in front of the cameras as he is? Get back to me when he takes on somebody like Rachel Maddow

Speaking of greed, when you're making tens of millions of dollars but then when your company starts to go into the toilet and the first people you expect to take pay cuts are the ones living pay check to pay check that's greedy. And when you give yourself millions of dollars in bonuses and pay raises while they're taking a pay cut AND you take their pension that's really ****ing greedy

Keep in mind that this guy has been embarrassing himself on national television for years with his constant negative nonsense towards the United States that never happens.
