Welcome to Bizarro World. Local governments can also demand drug testing as part of employment consideration.

And don't forget the military and they have ongoing random drug testing and you get kicked out if tested positive.

This is a prime example of America's Fall From Grace. Social Welfare is a "right" that is upheld by "privacy" laws, not good stewardship of taxpayer funds. Is there really anyone out there still wondering if America will never be great again? Not I. Our glory days are gone, as suggested by this ruling. When "Privacy" trumps a common sense approach to funding a social safety net, might as well stick a fork in it, we're done.

As usual you have this ass backwards. Social welfare is not a right, but privacy surely is.

Privacy is not an absolute right. You can engage in a voluntary exchange which requires you to give up some of that privacy (for a JOB for example). And since social welfare is not a right, it is voluntary.
