What it's showing signs of is the government at the local and state levels turning against the public at the direction of the wealthy, who have bought the politicians.

Wisconsin

Ohio

Florida

And now, OWS...

Only a liberal freak could define a "peaceful protest" as physically attacking law enforcement.

Oakland is a rowdy city with all kinds of violent Leftists spanning from the Black Panthers, Berkley liberals and Mexican bike gangs. Best to deal forcefully with this hodgepodge of misfits and ask questions later.

Remember Kent State!!!!! peaceful protesters need to be left alone to exercise their constitutional rights. If there are some that are not being peaceful and are breaking the law, then just THOSE protesters need be arrested. Using tear gas and causing what could be irreputable harm to a peaceful protester is unconstitional and un American.

That is what these folks want is a Kent State type fiasco. The peaceful protestors will end up being the victims used by the agitators. That is all that is happening.

Oh relax.

This kind of thing is only to be expected with a mass protest.

I'm willing to cut the cops a little slack (but just a little).

My gawd, amazing. "The use of tear gas" as a "peaceful resolution???" Give me a break, this whole thing was nuts!!! I'm going to attempt to play devil's advocate and say that the police certainly had no idea what would erupt, the same with any protest, and they might've had their guard up, but they went too far and there was absolutely no reason for it!!!
