After they were slashed, he had to raise them again slightly--it's a trial and error thing. I don't think the tax rate is a magical number set in stone, and I think people like Grover Nordquist are bad business people. We made deep cuts under Bush--were they too deep? Refusing to even look at that possibility is silly.
Raising taxes on anyone, the top 1% or the bottom 1% will do nothing to address the spending problem in DC. The more they take in the more they will spend. Until I see any spending cap of some sort put in place I am against all tax increases on anybody and only then if the tax increase is to pay for the debt and debt only.

A couple of dolts tried to debate it, so I posted the stats right from their precious gubmint website. They are still trying to get over the sting of finding out taxes cuts really do increase tax revenue. That burns them up.

It does every time. Trying to spend you way out does the opposite. Bush tried that right after 9-11 and learned and passed the tax cuts in '03. Too bad Obama can't learn from his mistakes. His problem is he thinks he's God and makes no mistakes.

More right-wing drivel...Only the gullible, brain-dead, Tea Tards and talk-radiots buy this non-sense. Like most of the crap the right-wingers put out there, just simple common sense will tell you how idiotic their views are...So they put their usual spin on it to show us how grateful and how much of our lives and happiness we owe to the glorious, beleagured rich.

Of course people whom are capable of thinking don't fall for it, but with these stories they usually pull another inbred redneck living in a trailer park in South Alabama to join the tea party, and Rush gains a few new listeners!

Interesting data from 2009. Hoping to find 2010's.

It seems if you are part of the EVIL top 25% income earners, you can be there on as little as about $66k per year and you are paying over 87% of the taxes.

So much for the evil rich people theory.

Facts are a liberals worst nightmare.
When have I ever said the rich are evil?

Not really, liberals and conservatives spin facts in different ways to suit their respective agendas.

A childless burger flipper working full time at minimum wage pays $500 federal income tax in 2011. Is that not enough for conservatives?
