Even some of his staunchest supporters KNOW he is an albatross around their neck.

Richard Durbin | Referendum Election | The Daily Caller

Quote:
Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin told the Chicago Tribune that if the 2012 election is a “referendum” on President Barack Obama, then Democrats are “in trouble.”
Oh, it will be dickey, you can bet on that.

He'll win if for no other reason his competition are either hacks disliked by their own party or half-crazed lunatics who continually shoot themselves in the foot.
The economy still stinks, and he's isolated progressives on certain matters (like the pot club bust-ups), but the fact remains the majority still favor matters he's won/pushing, such as troop withdrawal from the Middle East, access to health care for all Americans, and taxing the rich at the same rate as the middle-class. And did I mention the poor options being put forth by the GOP?

Anyone predicting a Republican presidential win by stating that PA, MI, MN, and NJ are in play because Republicans have won at the state level is an idiot who isn't worth listening to.

If Dick Durbin told you a car was coming, you'd still let it hit you. Try again.

Unless something changes quickly for the GOP, it may very well wind up being the main reason Obama wins. No good candidate.
Exactly!

You might as well start liking the guy. He'll be here for a while longer.
For the good of the country, I certainly hope not.

I've said several times that it's the totality of circumstances (not just the economy) that dictates that Barack Obama will be a one-term President. He's a shiitty President. That's the bottom line.

This article seems to corroborate my assertion.
