Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin told the Chicago Tribune that if the 2012 election is a “referendum” on President Barack Obama, then Democrats are “in trouble.”
He'll win if for no other reason his competition are either hacks disliked by their own party or half-crazed lunatics who continually shoot themselves in the foot.
The economy still stinks, and he's isolated progressives on certain matters (like the pot club bust-ups), but the fact remains the majority still favor matters he's won/pushing, such as troop withdrawal from the Middle East, access to health care for all Americans, and taxing the rich at the same rate as the middle-class. And did I mention the poor options being put forth by the GOP?

I've said several times that it's the totality of circumstances (not just the economy) that dictates that Barack Obama will be a one-term President. He's a shiitty President. That's the bottom line.
