Apple products are overpriced, if they were made in the US and cost the same as now they would at least be worth their money.
Show us your spreadsheet for how that worked for your company.

Socialism might be gone from Russia with the fall of the USSR, but the idea is like a cockroach in that it must be contained with the understanding that it can never be eliminated entirely.

Irrelevant, VW, BMW, and others can afford it... And they are anything but socialist companies.

Will go to bed, that makes more sense than discussing this topic any longer I suppose

You have to look at the product. Cars are made of mostly metal and plastics (oil made products). Not exactly rare, and the prices they demand, here, because we can still afford them, are why they're made here. The average wage in Asia won't afford them the luxury of vehicle plants all over it. They can't afford to buy them so why make them there and pay tons of money to ship them to all the countries that can afford them?

VW and BMW fled Europe to build in the US, due to lower labor costs than Europe.

Higher demand... We still think having 3-5 cars per family is the norm.

If the Germans can still manufacture everything themselves - from ocean liners to machines to electronics - in Germany, why can't the Americans do it in the US?
German cars made in the US are considerably cheaper than those made in Germany herself, by the way.

In my opinion it has a lot to do with the reputation of manufacturing, which has become the new agriculture so to speak. Nobody really wants to work in manufacturing anymore because it often is a dull job where career perspectives are rather limited. At the same time career thinking is key in the US as Americans usually aren't modest people content with what they have.

I don't think many Americans would be willing to work the way the Chinese do, especially not for low salaries. So US companies have their products made in Asia, be it electronics, musical instruments, clothing, ... But those things are sold at prices as if they were made in the US. And the huge profits remain with those companies.

See how it all ties in?

Of course there are communists! I know what their beliefs are and they want the government to have the power and want the government to give them everything. Problem is this has been tried and it just makes everyone poor and the government owns everything through legislation.

Fact is today we are in a global economy. If the rich are strangled by the governments regulations, capitalism is choked. The more regulations put on companies, the more they will move out of the US and to other countries.

Redistributing the wealth will never work. Why? The wealthy have the power to employ whom they wish. When the government takes control and wants more taxes to redistribute the wealth, the more the wealthy capitalists will leave. Then all the government will have is a small tax base and many people sucking the system and the poor will get poorer and the government will go bankrupt with a debt they cannot pay .

I know the government by the democrats get their power from the poor. They have only that power.

To make everyone wealthier by creating jobs , and not by the government is the only way we can grow as a productive nation.

Other countries are booming and we are going down because of too much government interference. Our tax base is growing smaller because the people have no work.
