Americans are suckers. The ideal American is an obedient robot that does as he is told. He waves the flag, shouts an empty slogan, and believes he's the greatest thing going. But he's a chump.
u could be right. one thing for sure. we do not have a handle on debting.
current false collective belief is that you can debt your way out of debt. perversion of keynes teachings.
He brings up the condition of roads in Germany as an example but fails to mention how much it cost him to drive that car on those roads.
In comparison the average tax on a gallon of gas in the US is about 50 cents. For that kind of money their roads should be paved in gold.
I'd support an increase in the gasoline tax under the following conditions. Every penny currently being spent from gasoline taxes on other projects like mass transit is put towards roads and bridges where it belongs. Every penny of new taxes goes directly to roads and bridges where it belongs. All future increases or decreases in the gasoline tax will be dictated by needs, if the roads get a to point where they don't need as much funding the tax goes down and it can't be repurposed for some pork project or other transportation projects.
Sound fair?
Or the fact that the autobahn was designed and initially built by the greatest despot the world has known (present US pres excepted)

Roads in the US are paid for by more than just gas tax and are highly subsidized. If we got rid of road funding other than with tolls, gas tax, and registration tax, we would have to raise all of those taxes/fees to pay for the actual cost. Under this scenario mass transit would likely expand since it would drive up the cost of driving.

This is different than the reality anywhere else in the world.... how... exactly?

Are you an American who hates his country or just a troll? There seems to be a consistent theme to your posts trying to insult Americans in general or otherwise attacking this country. Hate much?

If you read his profile it says that he's German so it's the latter. He's just a troll.
