I read somewhere that most blacks do not want to live in a white dominated neighborhood and most whites do not want to live in a black neighborhood. People want to be with their own kind.
I might be black?

The less segregated era you speak about wouldn't allow even the few to mingle. You think backwards, do you also walk backwards?
Its not. That is why most whites go for tanning. However, the people you speak to, aren't just white, they are uncolored (or as I call them... colorless). They hate colored people, and "white" is a color. I should know.
That feeling comes from the fact that the racists feel more cornered today than they did back then.
So a person making an observation that people seem to separate themselves by race more now than they did 50 years ago makes them a racist? I'm not sure how much more asinine this thought process can get. I feel really bad for people who actually ARE victims of racism, because the left has used the term so inaccurately that the claim of racism has become virtually meaningless.

There is nothing more stupid on the subject than to assume a position that people separate themselves by race more now than they did then.

bs, 1 in 5 marriages is inter ethnic, and all signs say that will continue to increase. people are not separating like you hope, otherwise those stats wouldnt be the way they are.
its not the hispanic population to watch out for. its my population, the mixed population. in a decade or 2 we'll be larger then the black minority and right below the hispanics.

Especially since at that time, segregation was the law of the land.
