10th Anniversary of the Patriot Act: "As Despotic as Anything Hitler Came up With"

It's not even in the same league.

Nevertheless, it should be repealed.

While the comparison is extreme, the law is as bad as the OP states. One of my disappointments with Obama... I wanted it repealed.

Once freedom is taken away it is a revolt that will bring it back. American Spring anyone?

There is going to be an American Spring, for those that thought the American Fall was big the American Spring is going to be huge!
2012 is going to be a historical year, one that will go down in the history books.
99% to big to fail!

I fear the government will use the Patriot Act to make a preemptive strike to imprison those that they preceive to be a threat, those they feel are at the head of the movement.
This was done before at events such as political conventions and protests such as the one held every year at Fort Benning Georgia to close down the School of the Americas.
The FBI will continue their on going policy of raiding homes of activists, something that they have been doing to peace activists and other activists that are opposed to what corporations are doing.

Correct. This is something the idiots in OWS should focus on rather than getting their college loans forgiven.

There will be an American spring alright, but it will become more violent. It is being funded by people that would take away all our freedoms and dismantle our republic. The protestors are and will be little more than useful idiots.

So repayment of college loans is the reason for OWS?
Are you serious?
