Without even mentioning which political party he is from...they both have got to go, here is what happened in Colonia. About 5-6 years ago, Mr. T came door to door throughout the neighborhood with a big smile and a fancy brochure telling of all the positives it would bring to the city and neighborhood if he were to be elected councilman. He did get elected, and within a year the family (3 kids, wife) got a new puppy.

Since that day, and until this day...this moment, in fact, they have thanked all the neighbors by allowing the dog to bark every single day....day and night without ever telling it to be quiet, or bringing it inside where it wants to be. It has barked as early as 5:45am (this I swear wholeheartedly), and for 48 minutes beginning at 11:55pm earlier this spring. It was out barking during the Hurricane this summer, the ice storm last month, the 108 degree day this summer, as well...and on 12/26/10 and 1/26/11...days with blizzard conditions. As well as in every other type of weather conditions imaginable.

The point here is, and this goes for any political figure: Once they con you into getting your vote, they couldn't care less about anyone. Not my next door neighbor who can't even tend her garden without hearing constant howling and barking....not my friend across the street who can no longer sit out and enjoy reading the newspaper or book on a sunny day...and the man who works nights, comes home sometimes around 3am, and is awoken at 7am by a dog barking out of control.

Is this fair?
He is still in office, probably viewed as a model citizen.
But, to the neighbors that he came around door to door begging for votes...he don't care about them anymore. He already got what he wanted, now we don't even exist anymore.

So, if you are going out to vote this year or any year, remember this...after the election, you don't exist anymore in their eyes. You didn't exist in their eyes before the election, as well. But they had to pretend that they cared....er, acknowledged you just to get your vote.
Wake up, people.
