Cain, being a front runner for GOP Nomination is going to be under HEAVY scrutiny by anyone and everyone. Obama and some of things going on under his Admin have gotten little coverage if any from the media. Yes, its a shame but theres nothing we can do about it except to keep calling the media outlets and slamming them for having poor priorities.

Having said that, Cain and his team handled this poorly. And people need to be fired, Brock probably being one of them. He is getting horrible advice and they are doing horrible research.

I really like Cain, but there are some absolute clowns/beginners in his staff that are really doing him a dis-service.

I think there's a lot more to the story than meets the eye. Except I don't think it's Cain...I actually think it's the women. The settlements were paltry. $35K is not alot of money. Had he done anything blatantly wrong, they would have sought more substantial remedy.

This thing really does look like a high-tech political lynching, even if Cain hasn't handled it well.

If Cain got himself into this situation, don't blame the media, don't blame the women, as Herman would say..... "Blame Yourself!" I found this elsewhere. It fits Cain to a T!

just my 2 cents

I think it might help him as well. So, everyone knows that Cain was a very successful businessman that can turn things around? Is that correct?

This is a curious phenomenon that I've noticed over the years. Why is it that Democrat/liberal commentators always seem to feel compelled to offer advice to their political opponents on how to proceed? What's up with that? No doubt I'm biased, but I don't see the same thing on the right. We just want to beat you guys and stop you from enacting what we know you want to do--tax, spend, and nanny us to death. We don't feel the need to advise you on how best to do that.

You now claim that you knew that this issue would come out, you claim that your team was prepared for it so why in the hell did you first pretend that you didn't know anything about it?

Your first and last response should have been, "Yes there were allegations of sexual misconduct and we reached an equitable settlement with the individuals involved in which at no time did I admit to any wrong doing. It was an unfortunate situation but that was more than 10 years ago and we have all moved on and that is the last thing that I am going to say about that."

But no!

You proceeded to deny that there was a settlement, then you acknowledged that it wasn't a settlement but an agreement.

Then you started to denigrate the then anonymous accusers (whether they deserved it or not ain't the point).

Then you accused the "left wing media" but admitted that you had no proof.

Then you accused and demanded an apology from the Perry campaign, but then had to back down because you had no proof.

Then you falsely accused some former writer for Politico of being the son of one of your accusers.

Then you get caught on camera losing your cool with reporters, bad, bad, move. Folks who want to be president don't lose control of their emotions on camera!!!

Then you held this big set piece press conference where you repeated all the mistakes above.

SHUT UP!

It may have helped your fund raising for a while, but every day you open your mouth you pour gas on the fire!

STOP IT!

If you want to get your campaign back on track, SHUT UP about the women, their lawyers, or anything else about the issue.

JUST SHUT UP ALREADY!
Having read many of your posts I could say the same thing about you. But, I have more class.

I know, right? I do PR/marketing & development work. The minute he started denying, and then essentially called the women liars, he ticked them off. That's when people decide to go public. He's done.

Herman, found your book online, your newest one, hit "order" and am sending you a donation. I think hubby is sending you one, too, least that's what he said.

God bless you, Mr. Cain, for a life well-lived, for not oinking at the Liberal Altar of goodies-for-free, for being blunt and outspoken, and for being willing to open up your life to this type of attacks so that you can defeat Communism in the White House and give us our Republic, back.

You have lived circles around most of our elected officials! Such a huge resume, you have been healed (by God?) of Stage 4 cancer, and still have a bounce in your step and twinkle in your eyes. I discern truly a good soul, in you and am praying that I will, a year from now, be looking to you as my

"President-Elect Cain."
