But Sol, that thing was put out in 1948. It appears to me that either that cartoonist knew what Obama would look like or he was just plain able to see into the future. Back then that is what they used as the snake oil seller, do you remember?

I remember a lot of cartoons like this one,...and a lot of snake oil salesmen both inside and outside politics.

The "ism" salesman is a fair caricature of Obama,...since you mentioned it. And the "salesman" covered all the bases, just like Obama,.....no private property (redistribute the wealth), class warfare, strong central government,...all the tenets of "isms".

Obama could have read this from his "ism" teleprompter,...you know,..the one on the left.
