This is exactly how I felt. I cannot just take someone's word for anything without questioning whether it makes sense. I actually think it's a good thing, if true, that more Democrats than Republicans don't go to church. I think it shows they have a brain and are willing to THINK about things objectively. And I did go to church growing up and even catholic school. I sat through way too many sermons of a pastor telling me how I should think that I said enough is enough. The best thing religion did for me was help shape my moral compass although I could probably attribute that to my parents as well so I find it ironic that this religion, which taught me to be a good person, is now waging war upon everyone who thinks differently than them. I truly honestly believe the best thing people can do right now is to STOP going to church because it has warped so many minds now when it comes to politics and doing the right thing.

Though I'm not a Democrat, I would just point out that some of us know the difference between right and wrong without needing a church to point it out to us.

A good Christian, as you put it, is one that truly is a good person in heart and soul, and no pretense.

Christians that put on show, and i do know some of them, come from both sides of the aisle, and the most judgemental people i know.
I have many democrat friends who claim to be Christian, guess that explains it!

People who attend church say:

"Satan is doing his job, and doing a damn good job at it.

God gave us free will. We all have a choice; we just need to accept the consequences and responsibilities that go along with our choice."

Well, it is the 21st century. I wouldn't trust someone who actually literally believed in a religion, anyway. Why would I trust someone to run a country that can't even see through a basic lie?
