Ron Paul never said what you claim. Not even close. It's funny how some posts contain outright lies in order to deflect from the failed policies of the current administration.
The last minute of the clip explains his position. "The churches took care of people, we never turned anyone away from the hospital".
Any American with a average job that once medicare hits at 65- and they get sick, like colectomy sick, prostate cancer needing radiation sick or even dialysis sick quickly take more out of medicare than they put in. It gets worse if you think they put in dollars from say 30 years ago that are now worth less due to inflation. It's the design of the system, not a tic for tac.
Another reason government should get out of the healthcare business. Since they have become involved costs have skyrocketed. Technology reduces costs in the free market. In the managed market it has the opposite affect.

So are you for govt. stopping tax deductions for companies that provide health insurance for employees. This is certainly govt. involvement in healthcare. Take away the deductions and many corporations will stop providing it.
In my area, there are no more paperboys (sic). Adults get paid, at least min. wage I would guess, to deliver papers by car. Even if a young teen delivers the paper by bike, she/he doesn't do collections; you pay for that with your subscription.
Because the game has changed. No longer do trucks drop off papers at or close to the house of each carrier like when I was growing up. Its gone to warehouses and single point location drop offs. Unless you live very close to the area of the drop off and deliver in that same area you need a car.

Yea when McDonalds first opened they were paying a lot more than minimum wage. Cooking low cost, thin hamburgers is a skill few can master so they had to pay a lot.
Burger flippers used to drive cadillacs and their children went to the best private schools money could buy. Only after years of hard work and practice did those burger flippers finally master the art of cooking a piece of grounded up meat.

I will always vote for lower taxes for everyone.
You have to treat the cause not the symptom. Band aids don't work.
Take government out of the healthcare business and costs will become lower. That makes it more affordable for companies that want to use that incentive to hire and keep the better workers.
Why else is the same pill less expensive north and south of our borders? Why else does technology reduce the costs in other fields but in medicine prices go up?
Your statement was absurd. Someone with a tiny bit of business acumen would understand.
Show me where flipping burgers in a fast food joint has ever been thought of as a decent paying job? Show me where fast food places have paid non management a decent living wage?
Show me where this has been said? "Flip burgers for us and you can retire in 20 years with a nice pension."
Instead of making absurd statements trying to be right how about looking for the truth instead.
