It's about time. I think the NYPD will be chasing them around lower Manhattan for a couple of days.

Or PAY taxes on it right?

The unions are supposed to come and bolster the dwindling numbers.

This is great...FINALLY....the bowel movement is held to the same laws and standards others would be held to.

March all you want, demonstrate til your hearts content, but you can't camp where you're not wanted, destroying business and costing people their jobs.

Now they're heading down to bloomberg's presser so they can scream and shout and disrupt the event.

That will endear them even more to the general public. Go for it guys!

The protesters, about 200 of whom have been staying in the park overnight, initially resisted with chants of “Whose park? Our park!”
Wrong, imbeciles. Ever hear of private property? Do you know you're NOT entitlement to someone elses property?

I know there a lot of people out there who hate OWS, but this is a classic example of why our so-called "freedom" is really just an illusion. The police and government will put an end to any type of political movement, assembly or speech once it starts being an inconvenience.

They just had a hippie meeting and got enough twinkly fingers to try and regroup at Foley Square and march to Canal Street.

God, look at the mess.

Police evict Occupy protesters from New York park - CNN.com

Quote:
The park's owner said protesters will be allowed to return -- but cannot camp out.

"If you decide to return, you will not be permitted to bring tents, sleeping bags, tarps and similar materials with you," the note said.
How much you wanna bet the scum start harassing even more the local businesses?

Read the WSJ article. Anyone who said they would leave after the raid started were allowed to gather their things. The police only trashed the belongings of people who refused to leave after they were asked.

The raid started at 1am, anyone who agreed to leave were allowed to gather their stuff. Around 2:30am about 70 people were left who flat out refused to leave. At that point, the police arrested them and threw away everything that was left.

Camping on private property for a pointless protest? If they didn't leave, they deserve to have their belongings trashed.

Wrong. did the police put an end to the TP rally in DC? No. Because the TP wasn't bent on camping ILLEGALLY, the TP had all the proper permits, in fact were made to jump through hoops to get all their ducks in order so they could march and protest.

Notice the same was not required of the occupy bowel movement.

Why do you think they are entitled to camp on private property?

The owner of the park has said enough and is asking the city to enforce the LAW.

Oh, the protesters that did NOT take their belongings with them will be able to pick them up at a maintenance garage.

Exactly. They made the TP jump through all types of hoops and all types of restrictions to make their movement as ineffective as possible. The OWS movement was incredibly effective because of their methods, so the government put an end to it. Show me the part of the constitution that says the government needs to give you permission to assemble. Even if their was no constitution, you would still have an inalienable right to do so. It's true the park was technically private property, but it was held for public use.
