The lack of the male perspective on life, is totally lost on a single mom, trying to protect their baby.

It is about leaders and doers, that keep the followers behind them in every way. At the beginning of this thread, someone pointed out Obama being a leader and being raised by a single parent.... I have to question his leadership abilities over his salesmanship.
Lack of self-esteem? Oh lordy.

With all your posts one thing is clearly obvious: your macho attitude towards women shows that you question your own manhood, or to be more precise lack of. Now, if you grew up in a 2 parent family you are proof that children of a 2 parent family can be losers. If you grew up with 1 parent, you proved how a missing daddy can have an affect on an abandoned child cared for by a mother who doesn't have a clue as to how to "tell it like it is".

Coming from you, I'm flattered I hit a little too close to home on that one.
Clearly no leadership there. Pwned!

I used your theories. What happened, did they backfire on you???

Well seeing as how no one else is flattering you, you go right ahead. If you want to convince yourself that you hit a little too close to home, you go right ahead. Clearly you have a problem with strong women who speak their mind. Another sign of your manhood issue??

If your idea of leadership is being a bully, knock yourself out.

Wanting to be a leader comes from the genes. How to be a leader comes from the people and experiences in one's life. How to be an effective leader comes from someone else who is an effective leader. That could be a father, mother, sibling, member of the extended family, friends, a mentor.

You seem to know quite a bit about the subject. Are you an early childhood specialist, eary childhoood education teacher, or child psychologist?.

Yep. I read through this thread. It is stupid. I mean this thread could have been so much more. It could have been a debate on whether leaders are born or created. It could have been a discussion on the value of being a father, or the struggles of single parenthood. But noooooooooooooo, due to the stupidity of the first post it will never be more than a failed thread at best.

First you have to define what a leader is. Second you have to define leadership qualities that a leader should possess. Third you have to list the different types of leaders there are.

P.S. There are plenty of leaders that come from single family households. Shaq's entitled to his opinion but that doesn't make it fact or even a decent arguing point.

Didn't Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro come from a fatherless home. I remember reading somewhere that he was an illegitmate child. FYI, Pizarro conqured and colonized South America. Not that I'm a fan of him, but I suspect that entailed some leadership skills.
