Eric Holder: Violating a website's TOS a federal felony but violating federal and international gun trafficking laws, not so bad (as long as it is his guys doing it).

GOP's Issa: Effort to 'grease the skids' for online piracy bill has failed - The Hill's Hillicon Valley

Quote:
Issa said the legislation is beyond repair and must be rewritten from scratch to focus on foreign websites that infringe on copyrights.

“We need a boat. We’ve got planks of wood,” Issa said. “I didn’t like the way that [legislation] was being assembled. I felt it had to be stopped so we could begin assembling the right tools for the mission.”

He said the bill’s biggest flaw is that it’s focused on “low-hanging fruit” — domestic websites with a small amount of pirated content on their servers. Issa said forcing those firms to block foreign sites would just open the door for new offshore search engines outside of the jurisdiction of U.S. courts.

That quote is beyond stupid. internet sites are worldwide, US has no jurisdiction. International Law doesnt exist just to protect America.

^^ How true that is!

It’s sad that laws like this even have to be talked about, the problem is what happened to morality, honesty and ethics? That’s why people talk about having laws to protect themselves instead of why people are so immoral.

It’s interesting that we have elected officials who make or change laws that we have. Now they come out with pizza as a vegetable so I’m confused if they are lying or if they are simply unethical and dishonest with themselves and the voters?
