Who was stupid enough to put Chemistry on that list? Like most hard sciences chemistry commands a good salary especially if they specialize in something like bio-chemistry or petroleum-chemistry and general chemistry grads with just a four year degree start out at $60k while bio-chem or petro-chem majors start out at around $75k.
I'd have to say the OP and his list are both clueless.
Information is posted to back up the reasons for being included in the list. If you don't like those reasons, that's not my problem.
PS...Chemistry majors generally go on to major in something more specialized in grad school. A chemistry degree doees not make one a chemist, just like a psychology degree does not make one a psychologist. A bachelor's level chemistry degree is not all that impressive to those employers in the science field who are hiring. If the person stops at the Bachelor's level, they will be constrained in their upward mobility in a science career field.
obama had to kow-tow to the hurt-feelings crowd recently for daring to say that 'folks can make a lot more, potentially, with skilled manufacturing or the trades than they might with an art history degree.'
i think he should have stuck by his original statement.

No wonder this nation is screwed! Check out how many students graduated with these degrees in the 2008-2009 timeframe! And to think that thousands of students are in DEBT over this crap!
Fashion Design is nothing to sneeze at. A degree from the Fashion Institute is very highy sought after if you want a career in one of the major design houses.
I've seen the fashions they produce. Trust me, that degree is absolutely worthless.
Don't forget that approx. 30% of all stats are useless.

Nobody trusts you here. Fashion designers from good schools make very good many and the best rich a celebrity status with a commensurate salaries.
I've seen their fashions. That degree is of no value. Perhaps you should learn the difference between money and value.
