Turkey is listed sixth of the countries that report the most deaths due to experimentations, with India taking the lead at over 1,700 victims who lost their lives during experiments run by American, British and European pharmaceutical companies.

The Independent’s investigation revealed plenty of gruesome details including experiments cancelled following abuses of illiterate or uninformed subjects in need of either money or treatment.

The total number of world deaths caused by pharmaceutical experimentation runs as high as 120,000.

The issue is reportedly caused by tight regulations in countries like the United States and England, which push the pharmaceutical companies to direct their studies to countries that have looser ethical and technical regulations.

Pfizer, Bristol Myers, PPD, Squibb, Amgen, Bayer, Eli Lilly, Quintiles, Merck, KGaA, Sanofi-Aventis and Wyeth are some of the known companies to conduct such experiments overseas.

The drug companies have no morals. Left unregulated they will kill millions.

Can you link to the initial source please? I'd like to know what types of drugs they were testing and what their methodology is.

Did this happen in a year? ten years? How many took the drugs? Are they counting deaths directly due to the drugs or does it count as a death if the guy is hit by a car crossing the street?

Basically, I'm left with insufficient information to determine an opinion.

Drug companies unregulated? Ever hear of the FDA?

Governments combined with Big Pharma will kill millions, if Monsato and the rest of GMO driven Big Ag doesn't get them (and us) first.

I hope you realize that already approved drugs kill far more people than do experimental drugs... right? In this country they are responsible for about 10,000 deaths a year.

Both the Turkish and the Indian numbers are tiny.

Anybody who is whining about this is incapable of assessing risk.
