This is both the failure of the Republicans AND the Democrats. They both own this.

If the superduper committee fails, Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats don't go behind closed doors and eliminate defense cuts, and the bush tax cuts are allowed to expire, the deficit is reduced by $7 trillion in ten years. It's honestly the best possible solution, but it won't happen.

they will be known as the "stupor committee" if they don't make a decision already and just move on. Just throw some body under the bus and get it over with.

Throwing that "super committee" at us and the rating agencies was never serious.
This is the 3rd committee now.

Are we any closer to debt reduction ? No and also no and no for the other committees.
They don't want to reduce anything.

Not having a deal is the best thing that could happen. It means automatic cuts in the few trillions, which is what we desperately need. But, despite all the media hype, a deal WILL be reached on the 11th hour. Just watch. This is all just theater

This REALLY infuriates me!

What the ****, people?? Can you not grow a freaking pair, put your stupid political BS aside for once, and DO SOMETHING?

Republicans - raise taxes on the rich for a few years. DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT - JUST SHUT UP AND DO IT. This is what compromise looks like.

Democrats - cut some of your pet social projects. DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT - JUST SHUT UP AND DO IT. This is what compromise looks like.

Jesus H Christ. With the whole world watching and all that is at stake, they can't even at least come to the table with some portion of the cuts? Zero is the best they can do? That is PATHETIC. We should fire all of these people asap.
Obama had no intentions of allowing the democrats to come to an agreement. Obama wanted this committee to fail and as a result the economy will take another dive.

Default Super farce.......

Newsflash, many of us outsiders saw that coming when the concept of a super committee was conceived.
