Hate to break it to you but sometimes lawful authorities are corrupt or lie. In that case there is really no reason for a critical citizen to obey the "law".

You seem to not understand this is what the protesters knew would happen, it is what they want to happen, did you see all the people recording? They will all scream police brutality and file lawsuits and if you have a clue what they are about you would know this.

By not protesting in a manner that is infringing on the rights of others. They could have staged protests that didn't block the thruway, they could have moved out of the way as dictated by owners of the private property they were on, but chose to be arrested. That is how they deserved it.

I do agree, the police pepper spraying a bunch of non violent American citizens in the face for sitting on the ground was the appropriate response.
Pepper spray is a compliance tool and is used once an individual has failed to comply with LEOs instruction. The appropriate response by protestors would have been to follow the instructions and warnings of LE before any use of force became necessary, don't you agree?
This is criminal, an abridgement of our 1st amendment rights. These jackbooted thugs need to lose their badges for this.
