This week, a Bloomberg News poll showed Paul, Herman Cain, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich in a statistical dead heat as the top choices among likely Republican caucusgoers. Perry, Texas' longest-serving governor, was in fifth place.
As soon as Republicans find out that he's against the Drug Wars, he'll drop like a brick in the polls.

I have voted Republican since Reagan. The War on Drugs and Liberty is a bad deal. I am and have always been against it, when alcohol is one of the worst drugs their is and it is fascisticly regulated.

Yea, well Reagan was a huge proponent of the Drug War.
But still, that would make you an anomaly in the party. Republicans are slavishly devoted to the Drug War and you know it.
RP needs to run as in Independent. There is no way the powers that be would allow him to be the Republican candidate.
