I don't see a problem with an industry launching a PR response against a 2 month free ride that OWS has received from the media.
* THEIR message?? Their message has come across over decades via their own media.
* Day one? The protests were ignored for about 18 days before the first cameras showed up. This movement is the scourge of Wall Street, which coincidentally owns the major media.
* Highly biased PR, yes - portraying them as misfits & undesirables. There are various professionals among the ranks, including doctors and nurses for instance. How many of these have you seen?
* The corporate-owned mainstream media is Wall Street's PR firm. How much more do they need? They are the ones who crashed the economy, demanded taxpayer bailout, then rewarded themselves. Sounds socialist to me.
Don't conservatives hate socialists (other than Red China, and huge corporations)? I know, money trumps...

Oh, so I see now....it was a lobbying firm that committed all those despicable acts by OWS protesters we have been watching.

It was a lobbying firm behind all the rapes, assaults, shootings, drug overdoses, vandalism, fights, infestations, attacks on police, ruining businesses, costing people their jobs, setting up filthy, stench-ridden tent cities around the country.

Got it.

Would have been fine if they didn't over-stay their welcome. Camping in public areas with no permits, then shutting down streets, intersections, whole neighborhoods, and becoming a nuisance to the poeple that live and work in the areas they are "occupying". Would have been fine if they obeyed the law and had consideration for others. But from day one, that was not the case...

The stealing, raping, vandalizing, etc. has been UNDERREPORTED. The number of pro-OWS stories in mainstream media dwarfs the amount of time spent showing the unsanitary filthy conditions that have been created on public property by the few who think that the right to free speech in the constitution is followed by a line granting the right to take over public property for extended periods of time and destroy it with no consequences.

The banks have been slammed in the media for a long time, and they are still slammed regularly in newspapers and news programs. I am no fan of some of the corruption going on, but pinning it on banks alone is misguided and naive. Government has enabled the corruption of big banks by selling their souls to them in exchange for political power and personal financial gains. This is not a one headed monster we are fighting. Bigger government will not fix the problem. Our government has expanded dramatically and we are no safer from the greedy manipulators who destroy the value of our currency and receive bailouts when they get so greedy that they almost implode due to incompetency.

My point is that regardless of all of that, the banks spending 850,00 on a PR firm to try and do damage control is a paltry sum compared to the level of distrust they have built with the public. Like it or not, they have a right to do it, and honestly I find it bizarre that people are bothered or surprised that they are doing it. But its just a distraction topic that I'm sure government is more than happy to see circulating because it keeps focus on the banks and wall street, not DC.

Just more of the propaganda game that Big banks use to try to undermine the hearts and minds of the american public.

According to the memo, if Democrats embrace OWS, “This would mean more than just short-term political discomfort for Wall Street. … It has the potential to have very long-lasting political, policy and financial impacts on the companies in the center of the bullseye.”

The memo also suggests that Democratic victories in 2012 should not be the ABA’s biggest concern. “… (T)he bigger concern,” the memo says, “should be that Republicans will no longer defend Wall Street companies.”
Two of the memo’s authors, partners Sam Geduldig and Jay Cranford, previously worked for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. Geduldig joined CLGC before Boehner became speaker; Cranford joined CLGC this year after serving as the speaker’s assistant for policy. A third partner, Steve Clark, is reportedly “tight” with Boehner, according to a story by Roll Call that CLGC features on its website.

We need an amendment now to stop lobbyist now and corporate involvement in our govt.

Open Channel - Lobbying firm's memo spells out plan to undermine Occupy Wall Street
Exactly...lobbyists= corruption...American citizens have no rights as long as banksters glut the market and buy Congress with their agenda.....

Boehner makes me physically sick- ugh...cant they at least hire a mannequin that doesnt offend the female demographic maybe like someone who doesnt look 80 years old and withered....

I find it quite interesting how the far right defends corporate fascism in U.S.
