Why not a flag or a giant wreath or some other symbol not associated with a particular religion?

And how does anyone state, as bolded above, that freely expressing one's views about this or any other matter is "anti-American?"
Absolutely mind-boggling.
I believe the answer is contained in the article. They lost the last cross to a fire, so they are just replacing the symbol of God watching over us all. It boggles my mind that people can take offense at that. Why be so intolerant?
Seems to me, the only ones that might have a right to object, would be the families of the fallen. I'm confident they appreciate this symbol.

So are you saying the Atheists own Camp Pendleton? News to me.

People are sick of religious zealots and extremists trying to tell everyone how and where to live, how to feel, and running everything into the ground. Wah, wah, wah. Change America...America is always changing, and now the "minorities" were previously the "majorities" or close to it. We'll see how the enough is enough brush suits them when it applies to them, and their reaction to 'life is tough get used to it' is their chaser for their misery.

This is what it's really about. The atheists are just useful tools being led by a quiet social revolution meant to destroy America. It's insidious.

Quote:
Gramsci, a young communist who died in one of Mussolini's prisons in 1937 at the age of 46, conjured up the notion of a 'quiet' revolution that could be diffused throughout a culture -- over a period of time -- to destroy it from within. He was the first to suggest that the application of psychology to break the traditions, beliefs, morals, and will of a people could be accomplished quietly and without the possibility of resistance. He deduced that "The civilized world had been thoroughly saturated with Christianity for 2,000 years..." and a culture based on this religion could only be captured from within

This could be solved by providing a separate cemetary for atheists, but that is not what they want.

I'll give you something else to cry about. Did you know that football teams pray together before they enter the field? Let's see you complain about that.
