President Obama and the Democratic leadership are making a critical error in embracing the Occupy Wall Street movement—and it may cost them the 2012 election.
Yet the Occupy Wall Street movement reflects values that are dangerously out of touch with the broad mass of the American people—and particularly with swing voters who are largely independent and have been trending away from the president since the debate over health-care reform.
The protesters have a distinct ideology and are bound by a deep commitment to radical left-wing policies.
And nothing is more out of touch than radical left-wing policies/ideology, that is a given.
Schoen attempted to warn the dems/obama, just like he did with obamacare, but alas, they would not listen to the rare voices of reason in the democrat party, a party that has been occupied by the left-wing.
Turns out Schoen, a pollster/Democrat for Life, is right once again.
A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows that the "Occupy" movement has failed to capture the attention of a majority of Americans, indicating either ambivalence toward it or lack of interest.
The survey, however, does show an increase from 20% to 31% in disapproval of the way the protests are being conducted.
Most, couldn't care less and disagree with the "message" and especially the tactics.
We have seen the polls reflecting the American people ARE getting the news of what is going on at these sites, are paying attention to OWS as they disrupt people's lives, attack the police and make a general nuisance of themselves.
Because the democrats/obama have embraced this movement, sending ACORN and the unions to bolster the dwindling numbers, it appears they might pay politically for that.
Thursday's coordinated Occupy Wall Street "National Day of Action" is bad news for the Democratic party, and bad news for President Obama.
But those generalized conclusions shouldn't obscure the basic finding of polling I have done and polling others have done, that Occupy Wall Street is increasingly unpopular with the broad mass of the American people, especially independents and Republicans, and that for swing voters, association of the Democratic party with Occupy Wall Street and their day of action will only be a negative.
This can't be good news for a party that poll after poll has shown is perceived as too far to the left for the American peoples tastes.
Meanwhile, the TP is more influential, more credible and definitely more effective (thats what winning elections will do for you).
In this latest poll, the TP is much more popular and their views of smaller government, less taxes, less government intrusion are in line with the majority of Americans.
But...I thought this bowel movement had the popular support of the people? I thought it was billed as making "history".

Oh, no, no, no. In the first few weeks/month, they came out in support. Can't take that back once the violence, police attacks, rapes, murders start happening.

Have we heard from obama? Have we heard him trying to quell the violence of OWS? Of course not - they take their marching orders from him.
One high profile DC lobbying group has pitched the American Bankers Association (ABA) to launch an $850,000 campaign to discredit the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement, and smear politicians sympathetic to the cause.
MSNBC reports Clark Lytle Geduldig & Cranford, already the lobbying group for the American Bankers Association, Koch Industries, and MasterCard, urged the ABA to perform "opposition research" on OWS so that it could build "negative narratives" about the protest and its supporters.
The four page memo sent to ABA warns the protests could undermine support for Wall Street from both political parties and mentions specific states where the 2012 election outcome could harm the banking industry.

Right now, the campaign against OWS basically tries to get working Americans to turn on the movement, even though most people support the movement’s goals, by trying to make it seem as if the protestors are people not like you — whereas the plutocrats are.
