Sen. Joe Manchin., W. Va., expressed criticism for President Obama's lack of leadership of the failing deficit reduction committee and for his failure to take up the recommendations of the Simpson-Bowles commission, which Manchin believes should receive a vote.
I'm glad someone on that side of the aisle is stepping up.
Barack Obama has shown such poor leadership as president that he needs to step down before the next election for the good of the country, Democratic pollsters Patrick Caddell and Doug Schoen say.
They made their call on the day that Obama was criticized anew for failing to prevent the collapse of the congressional budget supercommittee, which is on the verge of announcing that it has failed to reach agreement on ways to solve the country’s debt crisis.
Really sad that the POTUS felt that such a major undertaking could be delegated. Just proves that he has no clue.
Good one, and such a correct statement. Proves if he had to go thru the trouble and this major undertaking could be delegated, and he counted on this. He knows nothing at all about leadership, and how to be a leader.
There is no strong leadership qualities, which we need to look for in our President. Not A President that picks and chooses, what he wishes to work for and not.
I'm not saying that Obama's beyond criticism here, but last time I checked....it was a congressional committee. So the blame seems a bit misplaced here, eh?
But ah sh*t, what else would I expect from congress these days? These are the same people who voted almost unanimously to give us the Patriot Act, but then later admit that they never read it. These are the same people who vote for war in Iraq, but want to just pull up and leave the country in shambles whenever it's no longer popular. They're the same people who complain about Bernie Madoff but basically give themselves immunity from insider trading laws. Congress: a body that wants to take credit for everything and blame for nothing.
Obama's problem is that he is still somewhat of a political novice. He doesn't know how to crack heads. He doesn't know how to play dirty. He needs to learn.
I like Joe Manchin he wants whats best for all Americans not the political games that they play in Washington.I saw Joe when he was still Gov.of W.V. at the Tri-State Greyhound track that just was allowed to have a Vegas style casino. He made his rounds with the players and patrons he is a imtimidating figure very tall and broad. I heard he was the WVU QB and Jimmy Bowden was his coach. My point is he is not one to back down set in his ways and decisions which are well thought out.He is the best future the Democrats have because of his appeal to voters of the other party you can relate to this guy. Appalachian by birth Appalachian by choice I would vote for JOE MANCHIN.
