A SUPERMAJORITY WANTS ABORTIONS LEGAL....

The people have spoken. I believe the poll is accurate.
Still,as a believer of direct dermocracy,I recommend to for-abortion people to give the battle they will probably win.
Try to run referendums in all 50 about abortion.
They will probably win,in all 50,even in Missisipi...
Since you didn't answer me the first time.

Allow me to answer your question with a question.

Since this and most other polls show that support skews for abortion rather than against, why do you want the referendum?

Well we don't have that here in America, so your belief is moot. Even then, it would not matter. No state level or federal initiative can overturn Roe v. Wade. You would have to pass a constitutional amendment, and that's not going to happen.

And by what criteria do you arrive at that conclusion? A fully-formed and conscious fetus is only a person when dependency on another for nutrients is ended?

If so, why stop there? A baby is dependent upon its mother for a good while until it's weaned, why not stir up a baby's brain right up until 12 months or more?

By that measure, why aren't diabetics not people then? They wouldn't exist without someone else providing them with insulin and dialysis. They're a terrible inconvenience, and a gigantic cost to the public to boot. By many of the criteria you can use to justify abortion, let's kill every diabetic.

It is...200 years old...

The inability of the political establishment to improve it must not demoralise us,the people.

America needs deep structural changes.

I don't think someone from Greece has the slightest clue what America "needs", we sure as hell aren't going to model ourselves after your failing country.

A future American as in coming through legal channels, or part of the wave of illegal alien Greeks coming in? BTW, pretty much everyone here is an immigrant or a descendant of an immigrant.
