If you watch the video at the link Pat did really 'think mac and cheese is black food.' He just asked about it and his hottie black female sidekick said that it was.

I've never watched Pat on TV but seen him on various linked videos such as this over the years, always with the black girl hottie. Is he still hawking his special age-defying milkshakes? And Pat, are you tapping that hottie?

on the serious side, i guarantee you pat robertson has never used his hands to eat food in his life.

He's making the same mistake ignorant people do when they don't realize that "soul food" is simply Southern cooking.

Say hello to different cultures and what they prefer on their particular menus. The black co-host and Condi Rice were on the same page, and Pat Robertson was on another. Robertson's culture and its respective menu likely has such factors as geographic area, an older generation, and his ethnicity.

There was nothing wrong with his inquiry. It sounded a bit naive but it was not disrespectful.

Robertson prefers food that is more "closet gay" -- such as stuffed sasauge dressing.. to each his own.

Is Mac and Cheese a black thing on Turkey Day? Well, that is not the dumbest thing i've ever heard him say, and to be honest, I have never had mac and cheese on Turkey Day, so if two black women agree they have it every Turkey Day, well, maybe it is a black thang....lol

That's kinda how i come down. The guy is harmless, and he didn't mean anything by it.

In truth, i've had Thanksgiving dinner with all black guests (with my wife being the lone exception) and all white guests (with me being the lone exception).

Never have i had Mac 'n Cheese when i was with the white folks. That's not saying that they don't make it, but i've never personally witnessed it being served as a dish on Thanksgiving.

Flipside..... that's THE SH*T at a black Thanksgiving dinner! Practically a highlight of the dinner. So rich, so thick and cheesy. Man, them sisters be docterin' it up so good that it's about 1000 calories a serving. Folks are damn near running over each other to get to it.

So Pat was being sincere i'm sure. It was a fair question. Besides, i think he meant strictly as a Thanksgiving sidedish and not eating it in general.

Seems like this was a part of my post:

"That's not saying that they don't make it, but i've never personally witnessed it being served as a dish on Thanksgiving."

Maybe i'm seeing things.
