Yes I think America is in decline but whether or not it improves is a question left for the future. The signs of stores, schools, etc. closing around me with no replacement is certainly an indicator of the economic climate we live in. Just like the constant articles related to the economy and lack of jobs.

Not I.

I voted for Obama in '08 and will not make that mistake again.

I'll vote for Ron Paul but none of the other GOP frontrunners.

It is totally heart breaking.

We give our college seats and jobs away.

Don't think for one minute that corporations in the U.S. hire Americans. I live in the Silicon Valley and it is being over run by Indians taking our high paying jobs. When did Americans get too stupid, after all this country and individuals have achieved, to even hold a good job? It just seems to be smelly politics. How many American jobs were sent to Bangkok and are now too flooded to produce? What did moving our jobs there save those corporations?
The outsourcing will continue, quality of life in America continues to decline...If it is reversible there must be new financial regulation: sadly I do not see congress enacting this as they are in the pocket of Wall St banksters. The corruption continues while the middle class is decimated.....

We can't go on as we have here..too many non working poor, working poor and the middle class which was the lifeline supporter of the poor is all tapped out, the rich will leave and those who stay are socialists..soon we all will be hungry and fighting each other over miniumn wage jobs, the few who have great jobs will also be taxed so much they too will go broke....healthcare is a racket, education is a joke and we are amost broke...we got a commie in office will ensure all wealth gets redistrubted...people these are THE BEST of times...sorry.

Voting GOP is like voting for your own personal executioner, all Americans will need to bring back then is the guillotine so all the poor can be executed.

Then the 1% can enjoy the spoils of class warfare, but they wont have any slaves or servants. Kind of like living on Maui alone, no fun without the lower classes to exploit plus the rich will have to do their own farming.....

i keep thinking america can make a comeback with actual leadership, but then i see stuff like this and i wonder-from zero hedge

For The First Time In History, Fed Will Buy AND Sell Treasurys At The Same Time On Friday

Bond Eric Mindich Failed Auction Monetary Policy Monetization POMO

Following today's unprecedented POMO failure due to "system difficulties" (one would hope the Fed's POMO machine does not start and stop every time someone pulls the plug from the socket), Brian Sack's team (not to be confused with the PWG team of Eric Mindich) had to reschedule the literally failed auction. As it turns out, the first opportunity to sell $8-$8.75 billion in 2013 bonds is on December 2. And unlike the December 21 "reverse" POMO which is due to take place at 1:15pm, the rescheduled bond sale will instead occur at its usual time of 10:15-11:00am. Ironically, this is also the time when the Fed will be buying $2.25-$2.75 billion in 2036-2041 bonds. In other words, for the first time ever on Friday the Fed will be literally selling and buying bonds (although selling 4 times more than buying) at the same time. If this is not the pinnacle of deranged monetary policy which does not even attempt to offset monetization by a few hours, then nothing ever can be.

what is happening in this country now is beyond insane.

I have read things many years ago, 30 to be exact that the middle class would no longer be able to sustain a non working class and that we all be poor, looks like it happeneing lately to me.

Yes.

As I have frequently said, we have viscously destroyed the concept of personal responsibility.

As such, common sense had gone out the window and replaced with victimhood.

Is it irreversible? I do not know.
