I saw some documentary that NJ has some ridiculous number of school districts which each require a superintendent with high pay of course.

Yes. There are about about 566 municipalities in NJ, which is one of the smallest states in the country. Most have their own grammar school, middle school, high school and school board. The schools have multiple layers of vice principals, principals, assistant administrators and other job titles with a paycheck. I think the highest I've seen was pushing 300K. It pays to be corrupt in this state. If anything, education needs less money. I think this would actually improve schools because they would go back to basic learning skills and cut out all of the people who are there for a fat paycheck and leave the people who actually want to help kids learn.

John Taylor Gatto wrote about this "education" problem. Chris Hedges has also addressed it.

Default Why public educations is crumbling

Having worked in public education for the past 18 years, I can say with confidence that the administrators who decide how education dollars will be spent will always decide to spend that money on themselves.

Classrooms are near the bottom of their priority list.

Her weekly salary was $6,669 and her annual salary $346,000, according to records obtained by the station.
Ackerman and the School Reform Commission agreed to part ways in August -- with Ackerman getting $905,000 plus funds and pay for vacation and leave days.
