You're right.... I'm intolerant of intolerance... not for who people sleep with.

Again: show me where I was homophobic.

Anytime there is a story with the words 'gay' 'GOP' and 'arrest' in close proximity, you're going to see the homophobia come tumbling out from the lefty posters. It's as predicable as rain in Seattle in December.

You have a problem associating with reality.

Wow. Can you imagine:

1) Being 68 and trying to exchange drugs for gay sex,

2) Getting arrested for it, and then

3) Being booked in a jail that's named after you?!
Typical.

Another way of explaining it.....you are bigoted in that you think someone who is gay cannot be a "true gay" if they consider themselves conservative or identify as a Republican.

Seems to me that you are a classic example of a person who thinks he is tolerant but in reality is anything but when it comes to those who don't see things the way you do.
You're funny keep those inane posts coming...I'm making some popcorn!

And since when are us "lefties" homophobic when "there is a story like this"? You are weird, man. It's the religious right that hate gay people... or haven't you been paying attention? Up is down to you.

I was making fun of this HYPOCRITE and his hypocritical party, not for him being a gay man. The GOP doesn't want gays to marry... they didn't want them to be "out" if they are in the military... one even openly referred to Barney Frank as "Barney F*g".... and then they point to this guy as a shining representative of their party. That's ironic and funny as hell. If you can't see the humor in this story, then it must hit a little to close to home for you to see it.

Add that to the fact that he's selling DRUGS for sex and you get a real sense of how carefully the GOP picks its running mates....er... I mean GOP Sherrifs of the Year.

...And then he gets to spend time in the jail that bears his name! If you can't laugh at that, you are humorless!
Just so we are clear, making fun of a gay man being arrested trying to buy sexual favors is okay now?

Is that right?

So...next story where some gay guy is arrested,we can all make fun of him?

Why are you ecstatic at this news story? This man had one moment of heroism in 1989 when his officers were under attack by a man with a fully automatic rifle. He was also there during the Columbine shooting. Though he was Republican, he was for gun control. And now this retired 68 year old man has sunk so low as to exchange drugs for sex and you people are actually cheering the news. I pity him and I feel sorry for his family.

Perhaps they should rescind his award, given current circumstances.
