"A Hollywood manager who represented child actors has been arrested on suspicion of molesting at least one of his clients...Martin Weiss is accused of forcing the boy to have sex with him as many as 40 times over a three-year period dating from when he was 11 or 12 years old...The male victim, now aged 18, told police Weiss told him "what they were doing was common practice in the entertainment industry..."
"After the sex-abuse scandal at Penn State University came to light, the victim confronted Weiss in mid-November but he denied any similarities to the school's scandal because Weiss claimed the victim was the one to express interest."
Sounds like the Penn State scandal publicity helped this boy recognize that he was not alone and perhaps gave him the courage to come forward. This may be something "good" that can come out of the Penn State scandal. Kids need to be frequently reminded that this it is not okay for adults to take advantage of them and that the child is never at fault.

"A California teenager charged with sexually molesting two brothers is believed to have "conversed" with more than 100 parents by advertising his baby sitter services online, police said.
"Ironically, the case against Jordan Liu, 19, came to light after the boys’ mother sat her 8-year-old child down to discuss the Penn State University abuse scandal."

Geeeeez. The creeps are out there more than people realize. Hopefully, this scandal can help weed out more of them. Can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for this mother to hear her eight year old son's words.

"Liu was arrested Nov. 22 and pleaded not guilty to the charges in Glendale Superior Court Monday."

Of course, I can't imagine leaving my kids under the care of some guy I found "online" either. I just think you can't be too careful with your children. But that being said, you can't keep your kids in a bubble and some folks have to work and have no nearby trusted family or friends for childcare. So sad.
