BINGO !

Along with a ineffective energy plan

A gallon of regular gasoline the day Obama was inaugurated was $1.79 on average in the U.S. Today that price is $3.59, a 100.6% increase. The number of food stamp recipients has risen since Obama took office from 31,983,716 to 43,200,878, a 35.1% jump. Long term unemployment soared 146.2% during the same 32 month period from 2,600,000 to 6,400,000. Staggering “hope and change” isn't it ?

American citizens living in poverty have risen 9.5% from 39,800,000 to 43,600,000, and the number of unemployed has jumped almost 25% from 11,616,000 to 14,485,000 as of August 31, 2011. The number of unemployed blacks has risen from 12.6% at the end of George Bush's term to 15.8% today, a 25.4% increase, and finally, our national debt is up 34.4% from 10.627 trillion to 14,278 trillion *

Careful! Don't let the government know you have done that. You might be arrested as a terrorist.

In a warning from Rand Paul on the senate floor, where he speaks out against provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act, we learned today that the government considers having guns or storing more than 7 days of food a possible terrorist activity. In the speech Rand Paul warns Americans that “Someone who has guns, someone who has ammunition that is weather proofed, someone who has 7 days of food in their house” can be considered a potential terrorist by the federal government.
He warns that under a new provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act the federal government could lock you up indefinitely if you are suspected of activities that they consider terrorism related. That’s right the military will now have the power to lock up anyone, even American citizens without due process and without being convicted of a crime.

Rand Paul warns preppers that the government considers you terrorists.

But this is Obama's "hope and change". Things have changed and millions more people hope for a return to the good old days of 2006.

Food is cheap if you don't buy junk and prepared foods. I don't need to read the news...just go to the grocery store and look at basic healthy foods like pork, potatoes, beans, rice, etc.
You are off base and out numbered here.....you are just simply wrong across the board.

What do my fellow CD'ers think?
Food has definitely gone up. I spent 12 of the last 15 months overseas. When I returned in September for good, I commenced to purchasing the same groceries that I always buy. I'm not a snacker, so there's very little variable expense there, and what I buy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner varies only slightly from week to week. I've determined that my grocery bill has gone up approximately 10% over the 12 months prior to my overseas travel.

I think it's the opening volley in a fast-approaching bout of inflation.

And, conveniently enough, the so-called "consumer price index" DOES NOT include groceries or fule in its figures.

But realistically, inflation is preferable to deflation, within limits.

Scary, isn't it? The Department of Homeland Security also labels returning veterans from Iraq and Ron Paul supporters as potential terrorists. The people must make sure S1867 is never passed.

Things rise in cost(seen), but your pay actually shrinks(hidden)
Gottcha!

People actually have to think, to see the pay shrinking. Most/ the majority... are too ignorant to figure it out.

The rich can absorb it. The middle class and the poor, cannot.
