OMG! The Mormons own a cemetary!

And they own the Garden Restaurant? Guess I won't be getting drunk there.

The LDS church shames its members into paying tithes... by only allowing them to be a "member in good standing" & enter temples to get married, or to witness their family get married... IF they pay a full tithes, which they have a regular "tithing settlement" with bishops about.

I believe considering most members blindly trust leaders to do God's will with their donations, the LDS church has a moral obligation to honestly show financial transparency. Or better yet, members should pay tithes to more honest organizations/charities etc.

"Members" being the optimal word.

If you are not one, and I take it you are not, then its none of your business.

If I take it up with my officials, I'll be excommunicated & what good will I be of then?
The best thing (IMO) is to let others know of corruption & dishonesty so they avoid it like the plague.

That sums it up.

If its that bad, then they will be doing you a favor.

As I said, its not my problem and it is certainly none of my business.

I don't care for the most part what ANY church does...but it is my business if they are getting TAX EXEMPT STATUS from things that other people and businesses have to pay tax on.

Why should I subsidize the investments of churches? If they are making money but using it for "charity"- let them prove it before I pay their taxes for them.
